BSAD 380 - Derivatives and Risk Management This course provides an introduction to the primary derivative-related financial instruments (forwards, futures, options, and swaps), mechanics of their markets, and their use in transforming and managing risky investments and projects. Basic modeling techniques for stock prices, exchange rates, and other underlying assets are covered. Practical issues of derivatives trading, strategies, valuation, position analysis, and risk management are also discussed. The course consists of lectures, discussions, problem solving and market tracking.
Pre-req: BSAD 310 , MATH 080 , and MATH 079 or 3 credits of MATH 085 or higher 3 credits
