EDUC 103 - Introduction to Sociological Perspectives on Education This course examines the processes and outcomes of education, especially in the United States, from a sociological perspective. It defines education broadly, as it occurs both in and beyond school, exploring formal and informal learning and the process of socialization/enculturation, as well as education in relation to class, gender, and identity
Pre-req: Open to Freshman and Sophomores who have not taken another introductory Sociology course Cross-listed with SOC 103 3 credits
