PHYS 108 - Technological & Societal Change Sir Isaac Newton once said: “If I have seen so far, it is not because of my greatness, but because I have stood on the shoulders of giants.” In this course, we will view the landscape of technological development from the shoulders of Georg Ohm, Michael Faraday, Albert Einstein and Neils Bohr, and will discuss the historical development of this landscape as it has been modified by (and in its turn influenced) changes in society.
Pre-req: Any Math class or a score of 1 or higher on the Math Placement Test 4 credits
