SOC 254 - Toxic Tours: Enironmental Justice in SoCal.

Toxic Tours: Enviornmental Justice in SoCal is an experiential Jan Term course, with southern California as our research site students will tour local landscape to learn about the inequitable distribution of toxics and pollution in an urban enviornment. We will visit impacted areas and meet with community organizers, regulatory agency staff, and politicians in order to understand the issues at stake and the multiple orgins and impacts of pollution in So Cal. We will conclude with the development of plans for reducing pollution and increasing well-being across the region. How do we create environmental justice for all?
