CHDV 212 - Development of the Black Child

This course examines the development and developmental contexts of children of the African diaspora. In this course, students explore, from a strength’s based approach, the psychosocial, physical, and intellectual development of children of the African diaspora by understanding development in the context of the cultural historical contexts of black families and the legacy of racism/slavery.
