ART 180 - Narrative, Creative Storytelling, and Brown Identities in the US Taught by a visiting artist, writer, or storyteller, this project-oriented course may feature personal biography, short fiction, art writing, oral histories, photo-based narrative, contemporary art practices or other types of storytelling and narrative created around the expansiveness of “brown” identities in the U.S. The course is open to all students and will be of special interest to those interested in exploring intersections of art, media, race, gender, and sexual orientation centered around Latinx, Asian American, Middle Eastern, south Asian, Indigenous, or other communities that may identify as “brown” in a racialized U.S. context.
