ANTH 310 - Theory in Anthropology This course will familiarize students with the range of historical and current theoretical frameworks, orientations, and research philosophies in anthropology. A thorough and critical examination of the relevant literature will serve to introduce students to major anthropological concepts, traditions, and debates, from the development of anthropology as a distinct discipline in the nineteenth century, to the pressing problems and issues facing specific anthropological subfields today. Minimum Sophomore standing required
