EDUC 066 - Community-Based Teaching Practicum

Provides students interested in teaching or other education careers with a supervised teaching experience in the Fifth Dimension community-based learning program. In this course students will learn the Fifth Dimension model in after-school programs, child development theories, teaching strategies and pedagogies, and how gaming/computers can be a tool in learning and education. Requires a minimum of 26 hours per credit of fieldwork/service in the Fifth Dimension plus attendance at a class meeting weekly.  May be repeated for credit
