ENGL 175 - Latine Culture & Media

The history of the US is tied up with the history of Spanish colonization, and the history of California is closely connected to the history of Mexico. Indigenous and Latine histories are foundational to contemporary media and culture, which reflect the stories of these vibrant and complex interconnected communities. In this course, we will analyze media from newspapers and magazines to zines, podcasts, and independent producers of all types. We will also create our own media projects.
