INTD 250 - Urban Education In this course students will learn about both historical and contemporary issues in public school education, which have led to the achievement gap between underrepresented groups. Students will compare the schooling experiences of students in urban and suburban settings, as well as analyze the schooling experiences and underachievement of Latinos, African Americas, and English Language Learners (ELLs) in K-12 settings. Local school visits and education documentaries will be utilized as experiential and pedagogical tools.
