KNS 004 - Pilates Based on the work of Joseph Pilates, this course focuses on body awareness through a series of specific exercises designed to simultaneously strengthen and stretch the body. The Pilates Method encourages a mind and body partnership, establishing inner balance, physical economy and grace. Previous exposure to Pilates is not necessary. This course is an important option for students who need a strong, centered body for their work. It is also an important course for quality of life issues, as students who participate in this class will most likely feel a stronger connection to themselves and their surroundings. May be repeated up to 4 times for credit
