SOWK 241 - Introduction to Social Work Students explore the process and concepts of generalist social work practice with an emphasis on social and economic justice. We examine the history of social work and the importance of ethical practice with clients and community partners. This course is a prerequisite for upper division social work courses, is required for admission to the social work major, and meets the liberal education requirement for the Writing Intensive Course (COM2).
Pre-req: INTD 100 3 credits
