Jeffrey Decker, Business Administration, Program Co-Director
Susan Gotsch, Sociology, Program Co-Director and Advisor
Organizational leadership, by its very nature, requires the understanding of many different disciplines, and brings together faculty and students who share an interest in research about and practice of leading organizations. The Organizational Leadership Minor is steeped in the liberal arts tradition, most especially the humanities and social sciences. The five required courses are designed to provide grounding in leadership and management for students in any major, as well as complementing the Business Administration major (the Organizational Leadership minor can be taken as a substitute for the Management concentration in Business Administration). Throughout the courses in the minor, students will encounter ideas about leadership - from antiquity to the present - and examine the practice of leadership through historical and contemporary examples, case studies, and applied experience in organizational strategy and change.
