Kinesiology is the study of human movement, which encompasses the scientific disciplines of Applied Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Biomechanics, Motor Learning and Control, and Exercise Physiology. For a complete curriculum, the mental, motivational, and sociological aspects of sport and exercise are addressed in the Sport and Exercise Psychology and Social Issues in Sport courses. Students can major or minor in kinesiology without an emphasis, or can major with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy.
Students with degrees in Kinesiology often pursue a wide array of professional careers, such as fitness professionals, teaching, coaching, sport psychology, sport management, and various clinical health professionals.
