Social Work Minor

The minor in Social Work is designed to prepare students for active and informed participation in our society, where social welfare plays a major role.

Requirements

Complete a minimum of 18 credits in SOWK, including the following:

SOWK 240 - Introduction to Social Work 3 credits
SOWK 364 - Social Welfare Policy & Services 3 credits
SOWK 373 - Human Behavior & the Social Environment 3 credits

Electives

And 6 credits chosen from the following:

SOWK 340 - Social Work Practice I: Working with Individuals & Families 3 credits
SOWK 343 - Social Work Practice II: Working with Groups 3 credits
SOWK 363 - Social Work Practice III: Working with Communities & Organizations 3 credits
One SOWK elective Credits / Units: 3
