EDUC 529 - Introduction to Exceptional Learners The course provides students with an understanding of the characteristics of children with disabilities such as Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Other Health Impairment-Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autism. Students will examine a variety of developmentally and ability-appropriate instructional strategies, resources, and programs used to create inclusive learning environments that enable all students to learn and succeed. Individuals taking this course must earn at least a B- in order for the course to count towards preliminary credential. *10 hours of fieldwork required Requires Certificate of Clearance (CoC)
